Diane Tucker

EJI won the release of Diane Tucker after she was wrongly convicted and sent to prison for a murder that never took place.

Background

Ms. Tucker and her sister, Victoria Banks, were convicted of killing a baby allegedly born to Ms. Banks. Ms. Banks denied ever having the baby, and medical evidence confirmed that Ms. Banks never had a child.

These women and a man charged with the offense were innocent and sent to jail because they were intellectually disabled and unable to protect themselves.

EJI’s Work
